MANY WINDOWS

‘Many Windows’ is a participatory initiative and exhibition working alongside individuals navigating dementia, autism, and cancer. By collaborating with the communities of Vale House, The Parasol Project, and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, gEORGIA ARBEN-CROWTHER MADE ART TO translate inner landscapes into personalised, collective artworks. These works serve as a tactile reconstruction of comfort and a way to frame the present through various lens’, like memory and identity.

The collection culminated at The Crypt Gallery, London (May 2026), transforming the gallery into a sanctuary of shared experience.

Each window within the collaborative pieces is a testament to a life lived, synthesising individual stories into a collective dialogue of communities. It is a celebration of art in healthcare as a tool for empowerment, transforming isolation into a site of progress, resilience, and profound human connection.

This installation reflects that vibrant community. Each individual “window” is a resin collage, where participants were empowered to navigate their identity and interests, selecting materials that best translate their unique perspectives.

Echoing the narrative of Bosch’s, ‘The Garden of Earthly Delights’, this triptych reimagines the traditional three-paneled ‘world view’ as a contemporary psychological map, where the surreal and the everyday converge to honor the complex realities of people with dementia.
