Artist Bio

Georgia Arben-Crowther is a ceramicist and art psychotherapist whose multidisciplinary practice explores the profound intersection of art and healing. She envisions her work—spanning participatory projects, ceramics, murals, and poetry—as a responsive ecosystem that adapts to the needs of the vulnerable populations she works with. Working across hospitals, charities, and care homes, Georgia supports individuals living with dementia, cancer, and neurodivergence, offering a creative framework that "morphs" to support those facing uncertainty.

Her ongoing project, There is No Door, Yet There are Many Windows, utilizes the window as a "potential space" for imagining transformation. Recognizing that while there may be no "door" to escape certain human experiences, there are always windows through which to find new perspectives. Central to her practice is clay—a medium she values for its sublime ability to encapsulate the earth and ground the individual in a sense of belonging. Her exhibition, Many Windows, is an interdisciplinary project designed to showcase new models of creativity in healthcare, using the therapeutic language of art to re-establish a vital connection between the self and the natural world.

Georgia holds a BFA from the Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford (2020) and an MA in Art Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths, University of London (2025), where she was a Corinne Burton Student Scholar.

Her clinical and creative work is currently based in London and Oxford, where she works as an art psychotherapist for:

  • St Bartholomew’s Hospital: Cancer Psychological Services

  • Vale House Specialist Dementia Care Home: Lead Art Psychotherapist

  • The Parasol Project: Community-based inclusive arts
